With a name like Tuckers, it has to be good. And it is. You can get a very decent kebab (which is what I did) that is heavy enough to act as a full supper if you're short on cash (which I was).
It was fairly busy when I walked in, and I had a conversation with a few of the customers that were waiting for their orders. They were giving me suggestions about some places to visit in Brighton, and the guys who ran the shop also chimed in with other attractions to visit (all while they cooked my kebab). They gave me a brief history of Kemptown, and Brighton in general. All in all, this is a good place to get a well-priced (a well-sized) kebab, and it's run by a good group of folks. -

Great mini turkish takeaway, where no supermarket ingredients can be found. Friendly chatting staff. Whats more, the best onion rings!!!

Great spot for a huge Doner kebab! I stopped by with some friends from the area and was not disappointed. A delicious Doner Kebab served in a pita pocket with all the fixings you'd expect. It's a small shop inside with just a couple tables, so you may be better off taking food to go.

Tuckers is run by some really nice guys and always take to the task with gusto. It's good when the Kemptown street party is on and you've managed to squeeze through the drunks, shimmy past the dancers and avoid any number of altercations. You've made it out, you can breathe, and who's there? Tuckers! For the third consecutive year I've got to this position and instantly ordered a burger. They're cooking in the outside and there are guys on the roof with drinks. Nothing is quite as good as street food.

A local place, in Kemptown, which offers a range of kebabs, burgers, fish&chips and pizzas.
The place if open daily, however I only recommend take-out.The interior is not so great with an unpleasant environment to enjoy a meal and literally no space to do so!
The food is wonderful though.The Doner Kebab and potato wedges are a must!Tuckers also offer a range of desserts including a traditional Turkish baklava.
Prices are affordable and the food is worth the price. Deliveries are free in the evening.
So a 10 for the food and a definate 2 or 3 the most for the space.
